Fanboys Comic Con Partners with Cook Children’s Health Care System

Fanboys Comic Con, the largest one-day comic con experience in Texas, has reached an agreement with Cook Children’s Health Care System, the largest children’s medical network in North Texas, to host a charity benefit comic con at Ridgmar Mall (owned by GK Development, Inc). The event will take place on Saturday, December 8th from 10am to 8pm and on Sunday, December 9th from 12pm to 6pm at 1888 Green Oaks Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76116.

Fanboys Comic Con will feature special guests, including iconic Marvel Comics properties Spider-Man and Venom cover artist Sam de la Rosa. Also attending are DC Comics co-creator Steve Erwin, as well as his daughter and illustrator, Nora Paige Erwin. Nora illustrated the children’s book, “Little Book of Monsters,” which is the only book that is authorized to use the late artist Bob Ross’ quotes. Mad Magazine writer and humorist Kit Lively will also make in appearance. Many local, professional cosplayers will be attending as well.

Fanboys Comic Con has set a goal to raise 1,000 teddy bears for the patients at Cook Children’s. A list of drop-off locations will be available on our website soon, for now, bears can be dropped off at Jewelry With A Smile in Ridgmar Mall, Collected Comics at 3016 Alta Mere Dr, in Fort Worth, Hop and Sting Brewing Company at 906 Jean St, in Grapevine, and at Pastime Comics at 6120 Watauga Rd, in Watauga. We will be accepting bears in exchange for raffle tickets at the show for great prizes. Donations of cash and of items on Cook Children’s Wish List will gladly be accepted.
